Carbon heroes® offers consultancy services to clients, normally as a component of a project implementation or as a precursor to building the business case to implement car sharing within a corporate Travel Plan.

One of the major elements of winning over employees to the idea of car sharing is to make sure that the process is consultative.

Carbon heroes® operates on-line surveys on clients’ behalf, to promote the idea, gain feedback prior to launch and set targets for the uptake of the service. These can be dedicated to car sharing or cover the wider issues of a staff travel survey. This service includes analysis and presentation of the feedback received.

The success of each project is limited unless the client actively promotes it to their employees and introduces incentives for those that share their travel.  Carbon heroes® assists clients with issues that can span Human Resources, Facilities Management, Health, Safety and Environment , Internal Communications and Rewards and Benefits. We also assist in the project management of deploying the service, taking as involved a role as each client requires.

We proactively account manage clients, analysing levels of activity and assisting with growing the community of sharers within each organisation.

Incentives can include priorities car parking, prize draws for regular sharers, improved business mileage rates, breakfast clubs, time off in lieu and guaranteed transport home for “stranded” passengers. Carbon heroes® helps to ensure that a coherent communications plan is in place to convey the benefits of car sharing.

A communications plan can include intranet messaging, e-mail, physical media and events such as travel road shows and breakfast meetings.

Implementing a scheme often spans several disciplines in an organisation, including Facilities Management, Human Resources, Finance, Environment / Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility as well as those directly associated with Travel Management. Carbon heroes® is aware of the roles of all of these various stakeholders and can assist each in the successful deployment of a car sharing service.

This aspect can include monitoring of uptake and enforcement of car parking and expenses policies.
