Carbon heroes, a leading global provider of car sharing solutions, is today announcing a partnership with Carbon Retirement, a leading carbon offset provider.

The companies have identified that they adopt similar approaches to dealing with carbon reduction issues for their clients, leading to a co-marketing arrangement.
Carbon Retirement’s method of offsetting reduces industrial carbon emissions in the developed world by encouraging heavy polluters to invest in low carbon technologies, creating long-term change where it is needed most.

Carbon Retirement is a carbon offsetting company that leverages the EU Emission Trading Scheme (EU ETS) to reduce emissions. On behalf of clients, Carbon Retirement buys up industrial emission allowances (EUAs) and then permanently removes them from the EU ETS, so that fewer are available to heavy industry. This forces heavily polluting industries to reduce emissions, creating long-term change where it is needed most.
